Does anyone know how the coral reef fin fish closure is going to effect me I am in Yeppoon and not too sure of the marks.

Bloody govt seems as though whenever the weather gets good they take away my chance to fish.

thanks people look forward to your response.

The closure goes from the 8-16th And covers all reef species. Nothing stops you from estuary fishing or fishing for pelagics, macks ,tunas, Cobia etc. It also excludes species such as grass sweetlip, snapper, pearlperch etc. It is only a ban on coral reef fin fish only.

To let them spawn. They are very vulnerable around spawning ... ie easy to catch!

Well Windoweyes, another fisher from the CQ area. With the amount of fisho's we are getting in our area, it's must be nearly time to organise something. JD, (CQ Fisher)you got a couple of mates in Rocky to haven't you? Reckon we should do something soon. Keppels could be looking good, what do ya reckon?

Top idea. Keppels sounds like a go. Wait for the butterflys to turn up and have a big mackeral day in KEppel Bay.

Cheers
