The closure goes from the 8-16th And covers all reef species. Nothing stops you from estuary fishing or fishing for pelagics, macks ,tunas, Cobia etc. It also excludes species such as grass sweetlip, snapper, pearlperch etc. It is only a ban on coral reef fin fish only.

Humpy Island is a top little island to set up camp for any who hasnt ever done so..
Just south of Keppel island..Crystal Clear water and sand as clean as!!!...You'd have trouble tryin ta make up your minds wether ta Fish or just lay back n take it easy lol...
From there it aint too far to Barron island .....If its mackeral ya want ..
