Simplest way to post a WMV file or link

i think the easiest way is to cut & paste the location.

if is in an email, i have stacks of goodies, you cannot post directly as it is not one of he allowed thingies :P

You would need to upload the file to the Internet, either at your free space with your ISP, see your ISP's website for details, or at a free hosting companies website. Try someone like http://www.imageshack.us they may have file limits though. You can do a google to find other free hosts.

Then just insert the URL of the file in yoru post.
