Some Good Landbased Whiting at Runaway Bay

The little fella has been desperate to get out for a fishand this afternoon looked a good opportunity for him. We went to his favouritespot at Runaway Bay. The fish were agonisingly slow but they were good quality –most were over 30cm and I managed one bang on 40 cm.
It is amazing in a built-up area with easy access that youcan catch such good quality whiting off the beach during the day. If we getsome rain the area should fish much better.

The little fella loves his fishing - particularly catching and eating whiting. All I have to do now is teach him how to dig bloodworms.
