    Some Good Landbased Whiting at Runaway Bay


    The little fella has been desperate to get out for a fishand this afternoon looked a good opportunity for him. We went to his favouritespot at Runaway Bay. The fish were agonisingly slow but they were good quality –most were over 30cm and I managed one bang on 40 cm.
    It is amazing in a built-up area with easy access that youcan catch such good quality whiting off the beach during the day. If we getsome rain the area should fish much better.

    yummy , i love whiting ,bread crumbed with chips and aioli , 40cm is a damn good whiting ! your young bloke looks like he's having the time of his life

    The little fella loves his fishing - particularly catching and eating whiting. All I have to do now is teach him how to dig bloodworms.

    40 cm whiting is a really good whiting.
