g day everyone. Just like to tell you all i caught my first yellow belly. Its was caught in the peel river using worms and 15 lb line. It only took 30 minutes till i was fighting with it. It was around 40cm.
I cant wait to back to the same spot and maybe catch a bigger one.

:D Good on ya Youngfisher, you won't forget that one in a hurry. ;) As Caveman said, wait until you catch one on a lure. Try lighter line and realy have fun. I've had eggspurts claim yellas are not good fighters. ;D Neither are barra on dragline cable.

Cool, it never ceases to amaze me that as fished as that spot is that it still produces...
I actually live about 1/2 a km north of Haemskerks Nursery on the river, I went and flicked a spinnerbait about on Sat arvo but there was way too much algae in the water and it kept weeding up. I need to drop a worm I think...
