Re: spider line spider wire super braid.
I like to use platypus superbraid for my light gear say 4lb - 12
but any heavier i prefer silstar tuff line or platil which is also very good

Have been using super braid in 50 and 30lb for years with no trouble at all. If I was going for another in the heavier sizes I would look at bionic braid also. I have it in 20 and 30lb on my baitcaster barra outfits.
cheers,

Re: spider line spider wire super braid.
I just changed my Spiderwire, to power pro on my medium baitcaster .
Seems to be a very good line ,probably will change my the other reels over once the spider stuff gets worn.

I have found that all the braided line i have used is excellent the only way to feel every little bite in deeper water you cant go wrong with either of these brands

I use Power Pro (80 -100lb) on all my muskie rods. I've been using it for years. The colour seems to fade after use, but doesn't affect performance. When it seems worn, just reverse it and you'll get another season out of it.

depending on what lb you are looking at used to use spider wire was good but got fluffy and the fusion isn't as good as the wire.wire is woven and the fusion is fused together.
i use fireline exclusively now from 4lb the 30lb top stuff.

Re: spider line spider wire super braid.
Super braid hands down !
but watch the light line classes ....really bites into the spool when pressure applied ( anything under 10kg )

Re: spider line spider wire super braid.
I used 30 pound spiderwire on my flickstick for Barra. Never had a problem until I got spooled and lost the lot at Russell heads last month. Some people I have talked with have bagged Spiderwire because its usually cheaper. I can say no problems. As with any braid though watch the tension on your reel. Getting those bloody birdsnest out of the spool is a pain in the rectum.
