    Sunnies - What Lens Colour??

Now that I've jumped into the normal vision cataegory - got me some contacts - I need to get a pair of standard polarised sunnies. Was having a look at the spotters brand but no idea on lens colours. What colour lenses are being used by the fisher folk out there???

Penetrator is the best of all the ones I have tried. I got nearly five years out of my last pair. My mates don't like how bright they are but I love em.

Would have to agree with Neil, I have the penetrators and simply love them. Really good on dull days ... can really brighten things up. They are photochromatic as well ... ie darken and lighten acording to light levels.

lol, everyone else is recommending them too Rob.. so ill recommend them aswell, Spotters Penetrators Bronze.. they are the best ones.. they have another colour in the penetrator lense but it doesnt perform as high as the bronze lense

Just got prescription sunnies made up with brown/bronze lenses, they leave the old grey lenses for dead

Thanks for the feedback - Penetrators in the bronze it is. Those gold ones do look pretty cool though 8) 8)and that's half the battle - looking good doing it

The move to contact lenses rather than prescription sunnies is a great move. I am now using some lenses that don't have to be taken out and cleaned etc. Try them as they make overnight trips a lot more enjoyable.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Can't get diposable/leave in contacts and the regular ones are as dear as poison and will only last about 18 months

Have you seen the hydroTac lenses? Don't know if they would be any good to you but, they come in lenses from +1.25 to +3.00 magnifications. They simply adhere with water to your sunglass lenses or can be placed in diving masks etc. They are a little half moon shaped lense that can be removed and reused at will. They stick with a suction type effect.
Let me know if you want more info

Just been through the process of geting prescription polaroids - optometrist reccommended the greyish lenses far above other colours. Interestingly, when in the black frame they look more grey/ blue - i reckon they're great.

    Thanks Tony

But I have astigmatism (my eye is not round) so can't focus on anything no matter how much it is magnified

Got one of those stigmatism thingies as well - the eye doc just ordered my contacts to counteract it - I don't even know they are in now.

    Dave,

I've just got a pair of Spotter Penetrator in the Hooch Style.

Seem pretty good up at Hervey Bay on the flats. Saw lots of Stingrays, but no Golden Trevally.

I've got astigmatism too, but just use 1-day disposable lens.
