I had 2 pair of Mako s Steel framed jobbies good glass lenses however I wasnt impressed with the quality of the frame.
Maybe the plastic frames are better.

I just bought a pair of Bolle coachwip glasses. They were about $200 but are the most comfortable glasses with the best glare free lenses that I have owned.
Now that I have put that in writing, I'll bet I drop them over the side of the boat while travelling at 20 knots on the weekend!
Go the Makos, the spotters are the way to go now days apparently. I have a set of the metal framed ones, and they are fantastic. Only downfall I have found over the last 3 years, is that they let to much glare in from the sides. I am now looking at a new set which I think are called Ice, though not sure.
Greyman, I thinck along these lines. "You have to get the best pair that you can aford!" As the glasses get better the price goes up. But remember one thing, a good pair will last for years and years. Its an investment in your eyes.......
I have been wearing the old aviator style glarefoil polaroids (the original brand) for 25 years. I have a big snooter and these have the nose tabs to streatch way out , most other dont fit me as well.
Anyway for fishing I have no complaints with these they do the job and at around $35 dollars a pop at the chemist I keep a spare in the boat gear. The current pair are over a year old and still fine, but dont sit on them! nq
I'm more than happy with my Aerial polarised Sunglasses. Cost about $20 are light and comfortable, are just as good as anything else i've had and I don't burst in to tears when I drop them over the side.
Spotters is the name of the brand. They are stocked in most of the bigger tackle and chandlery stores. I find the penetrator lenses a cut above the rest of the pack though Mako are putting out some good stuff as well.

i have 2 deferent sunnies for deferent areas.
i have Zenith Cobra in dark bronze lens for open water.
and spotters penetrator in yellow lens for in the close water with the trees up close .
i find the spotters a little heavy but good to light up the dark areas.
the zeniths are very lite.
i used to have grey lens for offshore and yellow for estuary work.
spotters $270
Zenith $120.
as long as they rap around their good.
But remember one thing, a good pair will last for years and years. Its an investment in your eyes.......
