    Leaving graphite rod in car

I have a steve starling stella spin rod and was wondering if i left it in the back of the car would the heat eventually weaken it.
It is in the cloth cover that i got with the rod and also inside 50mm pvc pipe.
The car is always in the sun as i work around brissy. I try to do a bit of fishing whenever i can so i leave it in the car

couldn't imagine that it would hurt one bit. leaving it in the sun is another thing, but you're not - so keep it up

    hi,
i once left a rod in the car, it was in a hatchback and the rod was a bit long and bent down along the glass in the back window, in the heat the resin must have warmed and when it cooled the rod remained bent.
shouldn't have any trouble if you leave it flat. sounds like you have it prettywell protected anyway
    cheers

The other problem is that it makes too great a temptation to the "help yourself brigade"

Don't risk it, some guy brought back his new texalium spin stick in two pieces the other day for that very reason, lucky it was under warranty.
