anyone seen these
Went for a fish on the Richmond at Ballina on the 28th , stopped off at a bait shop at the Big Prawn at Ballina to buy some bait . I noticed on the shop counter there was a display of s/p prawns/crayfish and the shopkeeper had some set up in an aquarium tank with a little piece of fishing line atached to them. By pulling on the string you made them work.I have never seen anything so lifelike. They had a weight set into the very end of their tail which made them sit up with their nippers and feelers waving about so lifelike . The hook was set back towards the rear of the lure and when the line was tugged the lure would bounce around like a prawn. They had no brand name and sold for 2$ each. Being the sucker that I am I bought a few took them home filled the bathroom vanity bowl with water and put one in the water wife aventually goes to use bathroom and gets the fright of her life, good stuff. No I did not get to use them on the Richmond as we had success with bait on Bream and Flatties.-Beatle
