Mal,
A picture would help. Even some more info if you can't get a pic.
Ben
yer post a pic
HI MAL, I HAVE ONE TO. JUST PICKED IT UP AND GOT ON THE INTERNET TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS. FOUND YOUR AD HERE. SO I SIGNED UP TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT IT. I AM HERE IN MICH. IN THE U.S. HOW DO YOU KNOW IT IS A FISHING LURE? I WILL DESCRIBE MINE WHICH MUST BE THE SAME AS YOURS. IT IS ABOUT 4" LONG, APPEARS TO BE MADE OF ALUM., ITS SHAPE IS LIKE A WATER MELON CUT IN HALF LENGTH WISE WITH THE SAME WORDING ON THE FLAT SIDE, AT EACH END THERE IS ONE HOLE. IT IS TAPERED IN LENGTH ITS WIDEST PART IS IN THE MIDDLE APPROX. 3/4" WIDE THEN TAPERING SMALLER TOWARDS EA. END. I AM VERY CURIOUS ABOUT WHAT THIS IS. DROP ME A LINE. REGARDS DAVE
I've got one too. It's a copy of an old stone apparently found in Celtic ruins. It's similarity to a lure is co-incidental. I think.
What you will find is that if you put it on a tabletop resting on its' curved side and spin it anti-clockwise, it will spin for quite a while. Then try to spin it clockwise and you'll find it comes to a screeching halt and then goes backwards a bit. Go figure how!

And again
HI DAVE, THANKS FOR THE PICTURES, YES THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE. I WAS ALSO SHOWN HOW IT SPINS SO FUNNY. WHAT IS THIS THING? IS IT A FISHING LURE? REGARDS DAVE
Only one way to find out!
Stick a treble on it and flick it at some macks....you'll hook up for sure![]()

Ha ha ha! If we all get behind it, maybe we can get the Tourist Brochures & backpacker books stating that we use Kangaroos as baits for local tuna!!!Originally Posted by beefaman
