Gixxer, By now one shouldn't have to spell things out that power leads (misc bits and pieces) for some of these old out of production, discontinued, superseded, just about to die makes/models are hard to find, that is of course unless you want to pay a few hundred odd bucks just to get the lead.
So what happened to the old lead? as in any case half the problems with this type of lead is corrosion in the pins etc, and being a multiple purpose cable, one dead pin, deads the whole cable.
At some point in time it becomes simply not practical or cost effective to pay exorbitant prices for something you only require one little bit of and if you only want a cable then that's what you might have to do if you are that desperate for a cable.
Many of these units have been previously traded in with prerfectly good cables and misc good/usefull bits but the whole idea from any companies perpective is to get them off the street, business is business. This is why when the chance pops up every now and again to pick up old compatible bits and pieces for reasonable $$'s it can become a bit of insurance depending on just how long one hopes to keep the gear.
Those that have accquired and do have spare cables etc are simply going to hang on to them so as not to be in the same predicament.
Sometimes one needs to bite the bullet and move forward.
