So how much is a 350A worth? I may be interested in buying a second unit, having a look around at different options at the moment.

Re: Chasing Power Lead For LMS-350A

One really has to look at most 350A's especially the 5 channel versions these days getting very close to the end of life as far a memory retention is concerned (both as a sounder and GPS). Basically a 10 year life expenency but plan on a bit less and these days when broke they stay broke.

As far as the box is concerend it's not worth much at all. Any value (at all) is probably all in the GPS module and considering one could drive a 350A using the simplest and cheapest handheld based on today's technology then it's worth about half what one could buy a good handheld for.

But then something is also worth what somebody else is prepared to pay for it depending on the reason and which bit they want/need.

    Cheers, Kerry.

I did have some respect for you. Lately you have turned into a self opinionated ######

Ooops, I'm outa this topic. Keep it sane guys, we're here to give our opinions, whether we all agree or not.
Remember, count to 10, twice, take a few deep breaths, and hopefully, by the time you have done this, you have forgotten what you were here for in the first place.

Re: Chasing Power Lead For LMS-350A

Al_NFI, don't like the response then that's tuff sh.. Like since when should I change my opinion just to suit someone else you can ask all you like for whatever it is you want to sell, that's your right and I have every right to say what I think it's worth, if you or anybody else doesn't like an independent opinion then tuff.

And you've got a hide to talk about being self opinated as it's totally irrelevent who the post was directed to as the post is in a public forum so if you don't want a public reponse then don't post in a public forum what you don't want people to read and respond to, like since when does public forums state "only post if you agree with what I say"

It appears that when things don't go some people's way or agree with what some people want to hear, expect to hear they get a bit shirty well there's 2 sides to every transaction.

But if you've got some counter argument that confirms it's worth the value your asking then lets here it, I'm all ears.

Right to this very day I still have a 350A as a backup, bought new more than 10 years ago so don't try and crap on about what I think it's worth, the Lowrance in the top RHS is even older , still works but not worth a cent to anybody else but still has BIG numbers and still does what it's supposed to do but way way way past it's used by date and come tommorow it could stop dead and be a complete waste of space in even thinking about doing anything with it.

The last second hand lowrance (been a few actually) I bought I only wanted the GPS module as a spare, the box went in the bin and as it turned out so did the GPS module as in time it simply wasn't even a reliable as a backup.

But if you don't want an opinion then you've obviously in the wrong place What would you prefer me to do AL_FNI, BS just to suit you

    Cheers, Kerry.

[smiley=argue.gif] well that was entertaining. Thank you gentlemen for highlighting how wonderful it is that we are all different and that we do not always think the same or share the same feelings. ...Aahhh chat boards don't ya love 'em?
