    Humminbird any Good?

Just a quick question to see if anyone has had any problems using the Humminbird product before.
Looking at buying a Humminbird 535 Fishfinder but up until now I have been set on a Lowrance, for nearly the same money I can get a better sounder in Humminbird.
The Lowrance sounder I am looking at is the X52. Any suggestions would be good.

Just got a Hummingbird MAtrix 27, and Im pretty happy with it. Did a lot of research, and as most brands are also good, the question is more the features than the brand.

You get what you pay for, so pixels/resolution and beam strength were the 2 main issues. Cheap Hummingbirds are low on both as are other brands. Mid range Hummingbirds get you much better quality.

Buy from the USA, if you can wait 7 days, youll save 40-50%.

Be carefull buying electronics in from overseas any problems and you have to post it back overseas for warranty with most brands and this can take a while and costs can add up. The serial no of all units sold in Australia are recorded by the supplier so you can't bluff your way with warranty.

Ps I have a hummingbird matrix 27 and am very happy with it.
