Surf Fishing Tackle Order.
I would like to know how you put your tackle on the end of the fishing line for surf fishing. In the gutters fishing for bream, taylor.
If you can put a photo up here as well that will be great.
I have size 4 flat sinker followed by the swivel then the hook at present.
Should it be in a different order?
I look forward to your reply.

saphire, it all depends on the conditions and species your chasing.
Genral rig would consist of say size 3-4 ball sinker, swivel, trace of approx 600mm to 1 meter and a size 2 long shank hook. this would genraly suit conditions for bream, whiting, dart and tarwhine in the surf.
for tailor you need stronger traces ( heavy mono or wire ) and larger hooks.
genral tailor rig would be... size 4 ball sinker, swivel, mono trace approx 500-700mm long of approx 30lb line, and 4x 3/0's ganged together to suit the size of the pilchards your using for bait.
these are just a genral setup, you can change the weight of your sinkers to suit the conditions and you rods casting weights when your on the beach. having a few different sinker in the tackle box can be an advantage.
hope this helps

I wouldn't use 30lb line surf sniper, i reckon about 20lb fireline or something.
