For those that don't have one,, they are just one of those reels that are worth the money because;
they are a proven great reel for spinning palagics (around 20lb braid suits well)
You can use them off shore. I have used mine in 50m - 80m. They are really good for this because you can use lighter line (ie the 20lb braid) and less weight. And you get to the bottom a lot quicker than an overhead.
They are great for the Bay. Though I treat my 4500 baitrunner as number one for this area, I never go into the bay without the tss4.
So just my thoughts and reasons for spending $160.00.
By the way, the other mart that shall not be mentiond has had them at $159.00 for a while. If that $160.00 was $159.00, then you can hit that other mart up for 10% off. Now that would be a really cheap reel for all those that don't currently have one (but now know that they should have one)

i just checked a reciept & i got mine for $150 .....
from Campmart 1yr back
Went to Campmart at Capalaba this afternoon for some line and was blown away by the range of fishing gear that they have there. Was talking to the Manager there some weeks back and he told me that they would be concentrating more on fishing than camping.
Will be interesting to see what happens with the competition just across the road whose having a sale on fishing gear at the moment.
Looks like it might be good for us people who're always buying gear.

Chris,
If you go to the other store that is a velly bigga NO NO to
mention and will beat it by 10%.
I think I paid $132 for mine, I know it is a cheap ass way to go about things But still money in my pocket is better than in theirs.
P.S when I did mine it was not an advertised special. The guy made a call and then came back gave it the thumbs up.
Hope this helps Aj
My last TSS4 was $135 last year
Boat/tackle show coming up- should be some good prices there- have seen them down around the $145-149 with in last few months- Sundown marine and that place we cant mention-( welcome to the darkside Luke-
) certainly a good idea of kiktzy s there
Just checked mine, retailed at $169.10
Got it for $134.10
Off the top of my head one these places must of had it for $159.90 there abouts.
Cheers Aj
Chris - ring Sundown Marine and get their price. They are usually pretty good ($145 last time I checked) and then get the mart to match it less 10%.
Ahhh - Bring on the Spotties![]()

Went down to the one in Moss str Yesterday,
Nothing short of an absolute mess, Seriouly youcould not walk around the shop because
of all the gear they had all over the floor.
But from what I have seen they are going to carry a big rage.
just interested to know if you guys got the new ARB bearings in your TSS4 and are they still made in Japan?
Reggy
The TSS4 is a great reel. been around for 20 odd years and still haven't changed the design.... One thing I would mention though guys is that is you hook up on a big tuna and he takes a fair wack of line off.. when you reel him in the line goes on tight... very tight... so cast it out again when the fight is over... The tight line on the graphite spool may crack it..
There is suppose to be one opening inTownsville,I hope so as I will be up there for work for 6 - 12 months. They sound as though they carry a heap of gear![]()
I must have missed something, whats the deal with the other 'mart' ? Why can't we talk about them? I guess answering that question is even a no no by the sounds of it.
They who shall not be named ripped off the Ausfish fish sticker designs & used it for their own promotion giving many people, myself included the impression of a link to the good folk who run these boards. When corrected on it they apparently behaved with defiance & indignantly refused the justified approaches to correct the situation in a business-like manner.Originally Posted by Pwoida
Its one thing to be big & to use that size to squeeze small competitors out of the market thru buying power. It is another to act as if you are above the law & have the right to steal what is not yours. I haven't bought from them since - there are options for your fishing gear that are as good on price - talk to your local Tackle Shop owner - the service is better too than from some teenager who has never fished, is 20yrs your junior but calls you pal!
