    Heya Raefpud,

I'm really a bait fisho but do potter a little with different bits and pieces, so if your question isn't too complex I might be able to help a bit.

have been making and spraying my own lures for over ten years, if you need a hand I n might be able to help with info and tricks. It beats hell out of the pprice you pay in a shop and gives you a lot of room for playing aroundwith colour and action etc.

I've painted a few lures with airbrush over the years (too many to count), takes a bit of practice and you learn from mistakes. a trick to good air brushing is to make good patterns from the start, XRay film is a good medium for making some of the templates some patterned rags work wonders as well. I also found that if you only need a small quantity of a certain colour you can just buy holts touch up spray cans, I usually empty some of the contents into a spare airbrush bottle and then use the paint through the airbrush. To finish off the lure you should coat them with two pack polyurethane, 3 good coats gives a toffee apple finish.

    Cheers
