Spinnerbaits for Barra?

Spinnerbaits for Barra ... Do they work? .... well i know they work... but are they a viable bit of tackle for Barra. I know they work well for a lot of fresh water fish like Bass, Murray Cod , Sooty Grunter etc. Have heard that the Barra get a bit confused and don't know wether to hit the blades or the skirt. Anyone had much luck with em?

At the brissy boat show in the super tank, some people on stage were throwing the spinner bait into the tank, the barra followed it but never hit it ( they were hitting every other thing that went in the tank) . the Squidgy spinnerbait got nailed several times.

I'm no pro on barra, but seeing that I would never use a spinnerbait on barra.
