30lb Bionic Braid on my Calcutta CT 400
OK, i've just filled the spool on the ct 400 with some decent braid. Now the question is have i placed too much on, they say wind on until the lip of the spool where the bevelling starts. Is that about right? and i also placed on some 30lb mono to start with prior to the braid. Is it also true that pink line scares off fish?
Regards, Greg.

G'day Greg
Yeah thats about right, a few millimeters below the spool lip .
The theory with pink line is that reds, pinks are the first color in the spectrum to dissapear under water. The line should be a greyish color after about 4-5ft.
It gives you good visual tracking for trolling etc, Should use a clear mono or flurocarbon trace on the buisness end anyway for less visibility and abrasion resistance. Works for me
