Earlier this year i was spinning a river near tamworth for cod and yella's. I was trying out a 1/2 oz bassman spinnerbait with "glow in the dark" willow blades and skirt - not really a popular color but to my amazment it was catching fish. I ended up losing this lure to a hefty fish but i am in the process of ordering two more.
has anyone else had success with glowing lures ?
gogecko it al depends as sometime adding the plastic to the spinner bait can give it too big of a profile resulting in less hits
i have used a black/red with lumo kokado spinner bait with the top blade in lumo
haven used it at night yet but have dueing the day and the badd and they were still going for it so i guess they can work
still i want to try for a night time spinn this session when i headup river chaseing them on the surface at night
The bream is right.
I got a 1/2 oz bassman spinnerbait with gold willow leaf blades, and a black n gold skirt - to beef it up i added a soft plastic brown and orange yabie to it. It looked the part running through the water, the action was great but it was just a bit too chunky.
