Just in time for the beakie season I've finally cobbled together the outriggers for Bogey.
She came with 16ft Wilson collapsable poles with bases already mounted. It's just taken me 12 months to get my arse in gear and rig them.
I wanted to keep the poles collapsable so had to look for the correct size ring guides that fitted over the three sections. Took some doing. In the end it would have been much much cheaper to bind on some rod guides at the tip of each section but then again I can't bind
It was also the reason I didn't buy a ready made "kit". All up the bits and pieces probably cost me between $180 and $200 but as I said I could have shaved $90 off that if I had not gone with the ajustable ring guides. Most of the gear was sourced from Doug Burt's tackle on the Goldy with some from Whitworths and the local hardware.
