wind on leaders?
are many deepwater lads using wind on ready made leaders? they retail for 15 to 20 bucks down here . would joining 6 metres of 150 pound mono to 80 pound braid with an improved albright do the job and save you a bit of coin for fuel which any saving on tackle at the moment would help out with. the way fuel prices are my misses is gonna have to get a third job! ( the second job was to pay for the boat)

Re: wind on leaders?
Mate I make my own. I was a lil suspect at first with the actual attachment to
your Bimini whether or not it would hold up. Thus far I have not had any issue with it. They are not that hard just a lil time consuming

If you are paying $15-$20 for wind-ons you are paying too much. Either make them yourself or worst case from Wellsys tackle the game fish specialists on the Sunshine Coast they are $10.90 each in the smaller sizes and 15' long. Yes I use wind-ons for deep jigging as well as gamefishing. I think Wellsys are something like www.wellsys.com.au if you are looking for them on the net.

have a look back a couple of months and there is a thread on the subject that gives great detailed pictures of how to make your own. All you need is a length of mono and a drill.
