Re: Sea Streak
Zed - The Intrepid reels were made by the Gladding company in England, one that was very big there in the 50's & 60's, and to a lesser degree in Australia, at least in my area of Victoria. The Sea-streak is a surf-casting overhead that has a quite successful, if heavy-handed, anti-backlash feature but the reel probably will make a racket when used (which is why it was nick-named the Sea-Screech) The reel is made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic, I think, and had a large following but it just couldn't compete with its competitors' quality, eg ABU 7000 or the Penn Squidder. I cannot say how good the drag works, but since it seems to be in good nick, I'd polish it up and put it on a shelf. I had a quick look on the English E-bay and they seem to sell for a few quid only so it's not worth a fortune.
I think the info is reliable but I'm open to correction - Roger

Re: Sea Streak
Thanks for the reply Roger. Have just opened it up and found one part crushed. I will try and source part, not unless there are any guys out there with the same unit wanting to get rid of theres. If not it'll be going straight to the pool room.
