Has anyone had anything to do with (Mepsi) CW Free 60 baitrunner spinning reels?

Zed, I believe they were a yankee company originally, back in the 50s/60s/70s. Had a reel called the 'Mepsi Superior' that I recall reading something about somewhere. Nowadays an uneducated guess would say they may possibly be owned by some Chinese mob, using the Mepsi brand name to promote sales in the US. Bit vague I'm afraid, but they were about in the US some decades ago, some of their stuff was made in Japan and was quite good quality. Hopefully someone better informed will give more accurate info for ya'. Good Luck.

I have used one a couple of times now and they seem to hand a fair bit of preassure. used one last week with 2 x 13 kg GT's coming onboard with it from 1770 and a couple of spotties more recently. A bit more work will sort out if its any good or not.
