Re: Braid preference
I use Fireline till about 20kg. My overhead I have penn pro power braid in 50lb. It has been pretty good so far and is very smooth which is good for the fingers.
I have recently spooled up that surecatch braid in 14lb on my 4500b. It is a little thicker than fireline, but so far seems good. Appears to be very similar in feel to the penn pro.

Re: Braid preference
Thanks for the votes and comments I had no idea there were so many different braids!
I guess a fair wack of them may be the same stuff just a different colour at least in the spectra's - dunno.
Trying now to find large spools at fair prices for most of the above recommended Braids, will post back if I find any prices worth mentioning.
cheers fnq

Re: Braid preference
I dont know wether any body here has used spiderwire stealth yet as it is very new and $100 for 300yds but I assure u it is the best braid you'll ever use I tried copper braid and fins and all the rest this stuff is so so smooth you can cast again and again again. doesnt even make a noise screamin through the guides on the down side it so smooth it cuts you like butter. This is definately the most unreal braid I eva used
