Hey Lad's/Ros,
I am after a rod and reel that can handle some weight. The thing is I do not know where to start. I want some thing that can hanlde weight ie trolling for wahoo/macks etc and also hold something other then a flathead etc. i have enough boat rods etc but nothing really for outside help please. I am blind at this so any info would be great

Check out the TLD 25's for $175 a number of the big stores are advertising them at that...Sundown Marine have them and I'm sure they'd deal...and a Wilson livefibre either 10-15kg or the 15-24kg if you want something a little stronger (Sundowns have them too - ask for Jason - he's an ausfisher too - he'll look after you you should get a really solid outfit for around $350ish add another $50.00-$75.00ish if you want braid (Just done the exercise myself)

The TLD range will handle the Wahoo and assorted fast things ,loaded with decent line and put with a 15-24kg rod this will get them in before they get sharked.
As Rhys said the Live Fibre range will do the job just nice,also the heavier Shimano T-Curve rods are a little more expensive than the Live Fibre range but are a better rod for the money.
