hey guys any opinions on the best place to pick up blanks,guides etc. for attempting to build my own rod...am looking for a place with the best range of stock..OH and prices

The mudhole is amazing, Dave sent me the link. If you are in the Brizzie area get into one of the bigger tackle shops and compare prices, I think you will find buying online is competetive price wise.

Are you still trying to source rod blanks?
Send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with a guy who I have bought a few from over the years. He buys seconds, surplus stock from the auctions and has fair stock. He will also be able to supply guides, butts, winches etc.
