    Ramand,

They are still around - where abouts are you?

I have seen them in tackle stores on the Gold Coast, and some of the larger chain stores carry them too.

Here are the contact details for the manufacturer - if you contcat them they should be able to notify you of a distributor in your area:

    Rios Lures

    Re: Rios Lures

Just before Christmas I tried chasing them up as well.........and after alot of mucking around, finally scored.

Last year at the Rainbow Fishing Comp my brother and I had so much luck with the flathead on these lures, he had found 2 old crusty one in the bottom of his bag so we gave them a go. Since then I was desperate to chase them up. I found them once at the bait and tackle shop in Airlie but they only sold the HUGE ones up there (about 9-10" long).

So ended up calling the manufactures at Tewantin and they couldn't have been more helpful. They are a back yard family run enterprise and the service showed that they care about their customer.

Firstly they sent me a catalogue of their range and when I rang them back to order over the phone with my credit card......they don't have the facilties, so you have to send cash/cheque/money order. I ordered about 14 of various sizes and colour and then put a few extra dollars in for postage. They told me to put in $2-$3 for postage which I rounded up to $5 (whats a couple of dollars when you find what you want) and they sent me two extra lures for the extra couple of $$$ I put in.

You can't beat that sort of down to earth service and highly recommend dealing with these people.

Prices were quite reasonable as well. I just looked on Ebay and there is someone selling these lures from Aus in Japan. Selling at US $5 + postage. Stuff that!
