    Re: Tyrnos30

Not far off, but perhaps you could do a little bit better, though this mentions the 20...

Sundown have also posted recently saying they'll match competitors prices.

    Good luck,

    No worries Rando,

I expect the Sundown commission cheques will start rolling in soon

Nah, it's good to see us supporting a sponsor. It helps make the site what it is. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

The Tyrnos has a good reputation, and you don't see much better at that price.

    Good luck,
    Mike

Big thanks to Jason at Sundown, had a great buying experience and came away with a good reel fully loaded with backing & 50lb braid at a great price.
    highly recommend them to anyone

    Re: Tyrnos30

Got myself a 30 yesterday at Sundown. I'd rather spend my money there than the big chain store. Service and price are both much better at Sundown.

    Cheers,

    Re: Tyrnos30

They're a lot better than the TLD's. They are a little heavier, but a lot stronger and smoother. The anti'reverse is better too. Faster gear ratio, but they have a longer handle which offset's this. Much better handle grip too. I got a Tyrnos 20 the other day and used it out on the reef - very impressed and the TLD has been retired!

PS: Think about whether you need the line capacity of the Tyrnos 30. The drag's the same, Spool diameter's the same, and the 20 will hold around 700m of 50lb braid (you'll never need that much reef fishing)

    cheers,

    steve
