I'm thinking of getting a TSS 4 while they are still available. What rod should I match it to? Fishing from boat, to be used to cast metal at macks.

I recently asked the same Q.
Top of the list was an 8 ft live fibre. This would have been my choice if i had the dollars.
Second.
Ugly stick.I have settled with a 7 ft model
Can still get plenty of distance with it and not likely to break as easy as a live fibre
Cheers Dazza
ditto, this is what rod i'll be matching to my tss4Originally Posted by 2DKnB
My mate has a custom made gary howard with his TSS4 on it, absolutely beautiful rod, cost a fair few clams though.
I ended up going for a 7' diawa grandwave over the live fibre felt better IMO. Also looks to have a much higher quality finish than the live fibre
I use a custom 6-8kg 8ft spin stick works great.
Live fibre 8ft 8-10kg is the way to go.
Live Fibre here as well. 8ft 8-10kg RLF20.
See it in action HERE
sensational little vid heath, cheers...
where do i buy the full length one
Gday, I have a TSS4 matched to my 6-8 kilo wilso live fibre. A beautiful combination. You could go to the 8 to 10kilo if you want a bit more grunt. You cant go past the live fibre for a spin stick!!!
Wow! What a great video clip, Heath!![]()

oath mate, heath great vid .. you have anymore?Originally Posted by charleville
I'm using mine on a 7' Live Fibre 8 - 15Kg and 20lb braid. It would probably go better on the 8-footers recommended, but the 7' is a bit more manageable on my (small) boat. I'm also going to use it on a 12' surf/rock rod, though I haven't tried it yet...
Good luck,
Mike

The DVD's are well worth the small amount of money!!! I keep watching them over and over again.
