    need a small spin reel

    i am building a rod at the moment and almost ready for a good little reel the rod is an samuri s2000 6ft rod mainly used for bass and some small esturay fishing can enyone sugest a good little reel??????????

    have not set one but i think i should be able to get a good real for under $250

    Daiwa make some great little spinning reels...samurai, regal z come to mind. Haven't had a problem with either and I think they are within your budget.

    KIX 2000 should fit into your requirements, great little reel with very strong drag! But you might need to shop around a bit for the price...

    Stradic 1000 or 2500. I have both and love them.

    yea go the stradic, you wont regret it, great reel

    check out the penn applause and the penn affinity. The applause is a great little reel is very nice and the affinity is even nicer. I'd rate them up with the shimano stradic for features and feel but no spare spool.

    I use pen applause, shimano stradic,shimano symetre,daiwa capricorn. The best is the stradic followed closely by the daiwa capricorn.Most tackle shops will talk turkey if your serious. Try Sundown Marine ,ive had good dealings with them .Graham

    If you live down the coast try Brandon at Gold Coast Tackle . I purchased a loomis glx from him. Good to deal with too. Graham

    thanks everyone for your help i ended up buying a pflueger trion gx7
    it just felt right when i put it on the rod it was less then i had planed on spending but thats all good got it $79
