Has anyone ever used this product with their SP fishing before? They say it's an additive that triggers the fish to feed. Does this really work or is it just a marketing gimmick?
Are there any other scents or additives that are worth giving a go?

I have used Stimulate spray a couple of times on soft plastics and based on my limited experience I would have to say 100% that it made a difference. Murky water, myself and a friend getting no bites, used the spray and started getting regular hook ups. After a while the bites would die down, we would give the SP another spray and started getting hits again.
Like I say I've only used the stuff twice, but have been very impressed with the results so far.
i had a failure, the product made no difference at all.
most of the fishermen in China do not believe this product is so good as advertised.
I have been tempted to buy some of thise stuff to cover up any smells that I may happen to put on the plastics.
Anyone have any thoughts on using it for this?

I bought some a while ago and hadn't used it yet until one day bait fishing was extremely quiet and i found a bottle of it in my tackle box, we used it on baits as an act of desperation and it actually landed a fish first cast, we did manage to get a few more after switching to it so there could be something to it
I would use it more often if I fished plastics a lot
yeahh iv herd of it but waent shur if its worth to buy buy i might jsut buy some spray and find out how it gos for myself

ive had lots of success with the spray. i normally fish with berkley gulps etc which dont require it initially but it is a good top up if you have been casting the same plastic for a while. i use it on all other plastics if they arnt scented and have found the days ive left it at home tend to be the days i dont do as well. i have also used it on hardbodies and poppers. i have had schools of mullet attack poppers when sprayed, when they had just been ignoring it. i find it works best when fishing very tight areas with lots of structure as the fish will often come to it to investigate...the rest is then up to you.
i also use it as a hand spray after i have put on sunscreen or fiddled with the engine etc.

This may sound stupid, but do you think there is any merit in giving a live bait a quick spray?

If you watch the DVD on the whole bait system, they show giving a Livey a quick drink of the stuff ,and a bit of a bath,before dropping it down. He caught a big cobia with it.....but......maybe that was just lucky
i havnt tried it my self but it shouldnt hurt. worth ago.
I reckon ill try it next time. I was just worried the livey might try and eat itself
have trialed it in the surf for a few months and reckon it makes no difference at all, infact it made quite a negitive impact on every rod that it was used on so have not wasted my time with it since. lures may be another story.
buy the way...... isnt there a warning on it saying the the product should not come in contact with skin!!! my bottle has one, so i dont know if id be using it as a masking agent for hands
if it did work.. i reckon it would intice smaller more prevalnt fish which are present at the time and you wouldnt see the larger better quality fish caught.
perhaps if i was to buy a 44 gallon drum of the stuff and roll it off the back of the landie into a big low tide gutter and then fish the run up we may see some different results

I have a small bottle of it myself, and when I have used it on my SP's and I found that it made no difference at all. Have not used it since. But that is just my experience. Although I might have to try it again sometime after reading this discussion.

i tried the clear bottle in the liquid format on the weekend.. i put a few drops on my SP and it made no difference. i've only tried it once so i cant exactly conclude anything from it as of now.. but i'll try it again next time when i wet my line..

Have used it for bait fishing with good success, used it on sp's with moderate success in shalow water and have used it out wide on a charter boat for one of the best days out I have ever had. we landed over 150 fish for the day comprising 25 species. this was in water up to 75 metres deep. From what I have seen of it I am wondering if it should not be banned before it gets to be too well known and widely used.
