Braid or Mono for baitcasters?

I agree with Jeremy, braid is not the only way to catch a fish, there were a lot of fish caught before braid was ever thought of, mind you I have and do use braid on some gear, but do not "close your eyes" from what you read in magazines and stuff you just cannot get a bite without braid, but in reality it just aint so!

I have just increased my backing and keep the same braid as i was happy with it's performance. I have also taken note of the braids mentioned for baitcasters.

I am sticking with the braid as I fish with lures in the estuaries and find it is the best for my use. But when in comes to bait fishing out comes the mono.
