Ugly stick and a reel to match...

Ive been looking at getting a new Rod, What fisherman isnt i know.
But the rod im looking at is a Ugly stick Gold 10ft long, its the 8 to 12kg one i think.
I was thinkin of matching it with a shimano 6500b Baitrunner....
Putting 15lb fireline on there and hunting Jews, trevally and tailar
So what you think? good setup?
Any info on how to target those fish would be great

I use the 10ft Ugly, but can't remember the number/ name. Something like a Guttbutt ?????

it's a 10kg rod and used for spinning Macks etc. I use a Penn 8500 on mine. But use mono.

Some others will have a different view but, I believe you should have different rods for jew and Tailor.

A jew Rod, IMO< should be 14ft and 6 - 9 wrap, married to a good size Alvey reel, with a good mono line.
