    Wet/Cold weather clothing

Hi Guys, I've been thinking about getting a jacket and pants for fishing out in the wet and cold winds. Problem is I have no idea where to look and what to look for
Anyone know of any places in Brisbane that have this kind of gear and have people that can assist me in choosing what I need.

    Thanks

    Re: Wet/Cold weather clothing

moving around, hence have to get rid of heat and sweat? Go for one of the breathable (but more expensive) fabrics, and make sure they will work if wet with salt water or dirty with bait/slime etc

maybe need to swim in it or get out of it very quickly(boat, surf or rocks)? Don't get anything too tight fitting or heavy, and consider a bouyancy aid

Colour important? (Camo) If not, the safety gear/workwear shops have lots of stuff in a big range of sizes.

I'm still looking for something to keep the water off in hot summer storms while jack fishing. A bridge is good, and gives the (illusion?) of safety with lightning. Settled on a big hat, raincoat, and a small poly tarp draped over the legs.

Still looking for a way to keep the spectacles functioning when motoring along in the rain.

As for cold gear, same applies, especially the safety side of things. Used to have lots of wool. Now go for polarfleece in layers, with an outer wind and waterproof light jacket.

Be interesting to see what others do. Rum is good, but since I am usually skipper and car driver, not an option. Soup in a thermos, however....
