I was browsing through the tackle store the other day and noticed the storm SP range. I thought they lookied alright but especially noticed the Twitching Nipper SP. I was interested in buying but thought I would seek the opinions of the good folk at Ausfish
Has anybody had success with this SP in SEQ or any storm SP's for that fact. I also have a DVD with a segment with the Twitching nipper, where they caught a few bream. But this was done south in NSW. I have not heard of anyone proclaiming success with storm SP's in my time at Ausfish.
I have used these type of sps from storm lures and have had alot of bites using them but no positive hook ups. But still trying to catch fish using them. I to was suckered into buying them after watching the free promotional DVD from local tackle shop.
I put one in the water on the week end at the front of Scarborough with no luck but I must say it was not in the water very long for a fair go. I use to use yabbies all the time and use to get heaps of good bream and flatties on them so as this thing looked so real in the water I will be giving it a farer go in the Maroochy river this week end, although the bream in there are very educated as to what is bait and what is real? Them bug?*#s know what’s up.
Dan,
It sure was a Mark Berg DVD [smiley=bomb.gif], where he promotes every thing he touches . If I do buy a pack of nippers I think I would have to use them on the out going tide when we pump yabbies.
But for now I think I will stick with my berkleys, atomics and gulps.
havent used alot from the storm range but have had sucsess with the twitch nippers, had good results chasing flathead with em round drop offs on the runout tide, well worth spending time with
