Hello Ausfishers
I had the Bayard 150 (baitcaster) for about 2 months and very well look after, on my last recent trip i got snag up, applying abit pressure lifting up the rod the drag adjustment suddenly went loose and fully gave me a birds nest...i tho i had it loose and it unwound itself, but then again its adjusted to that point shouldnt it stay there?. but that didnt stop me from fishing, so i tighten the drag adjustment up abit and went for it again, untill i got snag again, and the same situation happen again the drag adjustment loosen again... has any had this kinda of problem, or know wats the problem is, help is much appreciated.
thanks tri

Daiwa Bayard handles way better than the abu any day, with vase amount of drag pressure (8-10kg range) compared to the abu so i dont know wat your on about, im just saying it could be a fault of some sought and if anyone has any problem with the same for those who uses the same reel...
Is it a daiwa? I never heard of it, just assumed it must be a cheapie.Originally Posted by Jeremy

Could be if your useing braid it's sliping on the spool, put a felt pen mark on the spool lip and the braid and load it up,if the two marks seperate that's your problem, respool your reel with a bit of mono (5 metres) under the braid to fix it.
Nah it cant be the braid spilling cause i got a friend that works at a tackle store to spool it up for me, cause im not very familar how to spool it up....he did the general stuff, mono layering and braid on top
but nevermind, if this occurs again on my next trip, i guess i'll return it or get the thing reservice, thanks again anyway
Go for the abu's. They work.
Yea they're ok but the drag pressure is not so great, but depends what your chasing or handling, so i guess overall its good
