All depends on your budget and what else you want too fish for and how.
I have a stella 20k which is good for jigging and popper work (Walking the dog style for poppers). But the 10k is more for speed. Same is for the saltigas dogfight and expedition.
What rod, How big are your lures and what line? basically how much do you want to hurt.

im tyring to get an idea of what kinda weapons i need and lines.. drags.. strenghts (rod reel line) etc..

i have see the dogfighters.. they are a bit out of my league pricewise.

i jsut intend on using for poppers and jigging.

i have seen those rovex big boss.. will they do the job?

I would go a reel that could handle at least 10kgs of drag to be in with a chance. daiwa entoch or emblem pro, penn 9500ss or a shimano spheros 12k 14k. 300m 50-100pd braid and a stiffish rod to match line and lures - dumbell / pencil poppers / metal jigs , bigger the better. search the net and you will get an idea of the brutes over there. email the fijian charters and ask them.
The rovex may do it for a while but not sure if it will last?? save if you can for the next price bracket.

Do you have an idea of what drag pressures you can handle?
