I bought an Okuma Azul 70 about 5 years ago and wore out the stainless steel main gear and brass pinion. Okuma fixed it no problems but I had to pay $10 postage to send it to them. I thought that wasn't bad service. Whether or not the gears should have worn out is another question as I don't use the reel all that often. As a comparison, I used an Abu Cardinal for 15 years before buying the Okuma and that's still working okay.
Lips you were claiming your dyslexic spelling days were over since spell check was brought in on Ausfish. That is 4 in one sentence! What are your teacher mates going to think?Originally Posted by finding_time

With the huge amount of fisho's and the fact that so many of us use chat rooms it would certainly pay them to produce good quality and a top warranty. I could imagine that these posts alone will bring them new business. I too have one but not used much yet, in fact only caught a couple of sucker fish while float lining! Reels look okay and appear to be good value.
Cheers
