Storm Wild Eye Swim Shad??? - Any luck?
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone up here in QLD uses the Storm Wild Eye Swim Shad to any great effect in either salt or fresh.
I was using them in Lake Hume on redfin and absolutely braining them with the small white version. For those who dont know them by name the are a soft plastic shad with the jig head impreganted into them and are sold (well stocked) and heaps of outlets and though I know the redfin loved them enough for me to have a squadillion packs in my gear, I have no idea if the squire bream or bass may like em up here.
I think the big version - 6 inch and the like would go well on barra... any one used em for cobia or spanish?
If your chasing redfin down south give em a go when your trolling on a dropper about 3 feet up from a deep diving lure!
Heres a pic for those not in the know with them....

If you ve had success on them in the bay or the dams I would like to hear about it.
Cheers

I've got some 6 inch ones i use, but haven't hand any luck on anything decent yet, though they are big and very intimidating. I have had luck on the smaller 3 & 4 inch, mainly on flattys though.

I was keen to try them, but dont see around here much, I like Shads, and the range looked good in the magazines and tackle brochures.
I was down in Coffs the other day, and they had them at MO tackle, did not like the look of them at all, the colouring and pattern looked like the designer had been on LSD! Gave them a miss after seeing them first hand. Dont know if that was just a limited part of the range or what.

G-day MrWong,, Sootys love em and Iv had mornings where they out fish hard bodyy lures on the barra at Teemburra dam. Even seen a mate catch a 980mm barra trolling a 4 inch one at night.

Here is a pic of the fish and the bugged lure. The barra was only 950 not 980.
