Bimini twist in the fireline and improved allbright. Works great, have used it on everything from 4lb fireline up to 50lb spiderwire.

Try the Slim Beauty knot. I used to use a double and then an improved albright but the Slim Bauty means you can drop the double and have a tapered knot which aids with noise reduction and improves casting distance. I use REC guides so using a knot which is tapered means I have all but eliminated knot noise.

    Except Dan's favourite has changed

25 turn Bimini Twist (very short) to an Improved Albright - It pulls up the bottom more than I bust off!

Try the Stren Dan. Its a hell of a lot quicker to tie.
