The shimano tld range is good - if you go for the single speed, reasonably priced - 2 speed....save your $$ For smaller macks, etc., I use a Penn 330gti - you can often find combo sales at various tackle shops for these - usually under $150. For larger fish, trolling, using TLD 25 on a 20kg rod - again, you should pick these up around the $250 mark as combos. Lawry
I was on a bit of a budget so went for a TLD25 matched with a Penn Senator standup 15-24 kg.I put platypus pink mono on the reel. The guys at Sundown Marine realy looked after me for price.
