Your reel is to small or your rod to heavy!! For a 6-10kg rod you will need at least a 4000 sized reel or conversely a 3-5 kg rod for the 2500 reel to make it balanced. A 2500 reel wont hold enough of the heavier line.

it is amazing what can be done with braid and a high tech, high $$ threadline. Well, not that high dollar if inflation is taken into account.

My Daiwa HRF baitcaster is spooled with 30lb braid, and I expect it to help me catch 50lb barra, yet it is not so much bigger than my old casting bass baitcaster, which was spooled with 6lb mono.

Daiwa 2500 custom R certate has the balls and maybe enough line capacity depending on depth of water your fishing in. There an awesome reel.

IMO, i hate having a physically unbalanced outfit. Unless the 6-10kg is a high tec rod like a t-curve or something, id say the reel is too small.
