    how much drag before you start to pull hooks

    just wonder what the thoughts are on how much drag is too much i.e. pulling hooks, straightening hooks etc.
    this question is for bottom fish cod, trout maybe GT's

    Well circle hooks is your best bet for less pulled hooks with mono.But just way too many variables.....When red fishing to beat the sharks on my smaller deck winch the drag is set to free lift 25kg and the bigger winch is around 40kg(100kg line) Just to beat sharks some hooks you pull but circles greatly reduce this and there 3xheavy 12/0's so they wont snap.
