    anyone tried braid 30 - 50lb on the bigger penn spinfishers 850 950s 7 how did it go thanks

    yeah braid goes fine on spinfishers, no problems there

    I have been using braid on mine for many years now. It certainly does not lay as neatly as some other reels but I have never had a problem with it

    I have a 8500 spinfisher with 50lb braid on it, very tuff reel & have got plenty of stopping power.
    you wont have any problems with it. but get a good braid & you will get more than the rated poundage that it says on the box you may not need 50lb some of the others who I fished with had the same reel & 30lb line not a prob fishing for macks & tuna.


    this came in off the rocks on the spinfisher on 50lb braid
