I was wondering if any1 makes there own lures. I live for my fishing and lov my lure fishing at that. I reakon catching a fish on your own lure that u have made would be a bigger thrill knowing u made the lure. I loose a lot of lures i wouldnt mind making a few in my spare time. If u do make your own lures, does it pay off ?? I no i cant make lures like the 1's in the tackle shops but i like to have a go. What tools and materials would i use. Could i use balsa or is it to soft and light.
What sort of lures r you looking for???
I make Poppers from broom handles,also spoons and there handles that I get from opp shops and my sinker lures I just make the holes bigger in big barral sinkers shove a hook in.Sumtimes I make a loop in heavy wire trace and run that through the hole and att. the hookesn with my twin hook setup I use that red stuff people put above there hooks when Whiting fishing.Then I paint them,most of mine are orange or white.If you don't quite understand how I go about this please feel free to PM me with your details I will send u an example to go off of...
