BERKLEY JERK SHAD GULP

Hi All

Can you believe i went to buy my favourite SP the other day only to be told they're not making that colour anymore!?!?! How does that work? It is a deadly colour/lure but they're not making it/or bringing it in to Oz...

I even rang Berkley in Sydney and tried to buy direct on the net from the US but they wouldn't ship outside Oz!!

The SP in question is the Berkley Gulp Jerk Shad 5" in Watermelon/Red/Glitter. If anyone has seen a supply of these i would appreciate a PM.

I've been caught twice in the past 2 years by rumours that Berkely was dis-continuing a particular plastic. Both times I raced out and stocked up on any I could find. Couple months later and lo and behold - they are back on the rack again. Maybe I am just a cynic - but is it a similar rumour?. You might be lucky and have them on sale again in a couple months.

MICK, thanks but there are 2 different types - 'Jerkshad' & 'Jerk Shad'! Believe it or not but they are 2 different types of SP's! I'm after the Jerk Shad.

GUNNA, i actually spoke to the Berkley Aus Agent in Sydney and he stated that they are discontinuing that colour. He also said it doesn't necessarily mean that they still don't produce it in the US though.

Many items cant be shipped outside the US becasue of supplier agreements. The answer is to get a 'virtual US address'. You get a US PO box, and then they repack it and send it to oz. Costs about $40 to join and $20 a month to maintain. Probably worth it if the lure is catching that many fish for you?

Ha ha yes they may howver so do mine - and much cheaper than the Foggy's I've gone through a pck of the Fog's and still yet to land a keeper... Will persist and i'm sure it'll only be a matter of time, especially when i get the colours Foggy's ordered for me...
