Fishing line...
Can someone tell me what is the best fishing line out there to use in 20 pound line...There is heaps on the market but I'm not sure...ATM i am using the 20 pound fire line if that's any good...
The only thing i don't like about it it's kind of floatie in the water but it might just be me...
Sorry for all the dumb Questions in my posts it been awhile since i have caught a good fish because i thought i might have the wrong stuff...
Anyway thanks for all your help...

Re: Fishing line...
It really depends on your budget and what type of fish you would be targeting and what type of reel you are using... Sounds like you are into the braided lines... However there are also some good mono lines available... I am just about to give the new lo-stretch a go!
I generally stick to platypus lines... Australian made... As you mentioned; there are plenty of products available and a lot of the Japanese stuff is of high quality.
I am trying to steer clear of the firelines... It's a bit stiff at first, and comes on small spools...

If you can stay away from Aussie made fishing gear! Sounds bad but true. In lures they pay less attention to detail and the quality of the trebels. In lines, Japanese brands make thinner, stronger, more sensitive and durable lines. Owner trebles and japanese terminal tackle will beat any other on the Aussie market.

Re: Fishing line...
Hi I use mono for all my fishing, I tend to use platinum, pre-test or super 100. I find mono eaier to use than braid as I can tie lures and hooks straight onto my main line with no leader, its easier to spool than braid, I dont have to use mono backing. And most of all braid is so expensive for the supposed benefits, I think the money could be spent better elsewhere.

Stick with the mono and go with the cheapest of the quality brands. Personally I go through a fair bit of line and I'm not claiming any records therefore I can't justify spending to much on line.

I have never touched the braids, I am a mono user.
Have a preference for paltypus pre test, good quality reasonable price.
