Alvey 650 GRBC High Speed Spinning Reel??

Hi all,

I am interested in getting into spinning for Tailor (have been inspired by Slider's reports).

I have only ever used alvey reels, and have been investigating the various options to see if I need to convert from Alvey reels to something like a TSS4.

I got a copy of the latest Alvey catalogue and am interested in the Alvey 650 GRBC High Speed Spinning Reel.

Do any of you use an Alvey 650 GRBC for spinning for Tailor?

If so can you give me some feed back on the reel? Have you been happy with it? Does it get the job done? Any problems?

I have only seen one of these beasts in the flesh and the thing that stuck in my mind was the weight and the extra effort needed to get them started (compared to a normal Alvey),I think from memory they are a 2 to 1 ratio,definately not something you see every day so you might want to track one down in a shop and have a look before ordering one in (if you haven't done this already).
